The Flower Farmer of Tokachi
- Dedicate the beautiful flowers of Tokachi, Hokkaido, Japan to the Ukrainian soldiers fighting bravely on the front line and to the people of Ukraine.
Hokkaido Tokachi, located in the eastern part of Hokkaido, on the east side of the Hidaka Mountains, is a vast plain measuring approximately 60 km east to west and 100 km north to south, with an area of about 3,600 square kilometers, and is one of the largest grain-producing areas in Japan. The land is fertile, flooding is rare, and the area is blessed with abundant water sources from the Hidaka mountain range. With more than 200 sunny days a year, many days in summer exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, and temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius in winter, the vegetables harvested from this land of varying temperatures are renowned for their great taste.

Alongside the roads that run vertically and horizontally across the Tokachi Plain, some farmers cultivate vast areas of land, and dairy and beef cattle farmers with extensive pastures.
Along these roads, some farmers grow and sell flowers and saplings. The high rate of sunny weather in early spring and low snowfall may be suitable for horticultural farmers. In early spring, the plastic greenhouses along the road were carpeted with colorful flowers awaiting shipment.
