Summer Nostalgically
- 十勝平野; Tokachi, Hokkaido, Japan
The Tokachi Plain(十勝平野;日本), which stretches approximately 70 km from east to west and 120 km from north to south, is mainly a fan-shaped area of the Tokachi River, one of the three major rivers in Hokkaido, and serves as Japan's food base. It has a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters, and the four seasons vary widely. Annual precipitation is the lowest in Japan, with more than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, making it a bright and prosperous environment in a cool-temperate climate.

Tokachi is one of Hokkaido's best dairy farming areas, with magnificent grasslands stretching to the horizon. It is also one of the largest breadbasket areas in Japan, producing sugar beets, barley, wheat, beans, potatoes, and many other kinds of vegetables and fruits.
We often see large tractors with GPS positioning plowing vast tracts of farmland unmanned and helping to harvest the crops.

Please take your time and enjoy the Tokachi's summer in the vast farmlands.
