Photo Painting Practice
I love nature. I used to take my camera out to the mountains, deserts, and forests, and when I was younger, I would spend around ten days abroad on photo trips. As I got older, I felt the pain of long hours of travel and gradually began to talk with the scenery and plants in the countryside of Hokkaido, where I live.

As I photographed flowers, I wanted to try my hand at painting. I felt as if they wanted me to do so. I started using paint on my iPad Pro a few years ago because I was inspired by the thick oil paints and realistic brushstrokes that Behance's friend Karen Stellmach used in her work.

The fun of arranging a photograph as a painting is endless. I could create a background visually different from the photograph or even change the colors with digital processing. Faithfulness to reality is not always beautiful. I decided to play around with Photo Painting techniques that bring visual freedom.
