Spring Ephemeral(Erythronium japonicum, カタクリ)
- Wildflower garden (Obihiro City Wildflower Garden)/
I dedicate this work to my Ukrainian friends and to the Ukrainian people.

In the wildflower garden of Obihiro Midorigaoka Park, the "Katakuri" wildflowers, which began blooming at the end of April, bloomed from mid to late May and gradually withered and lost their lovely appearance in June.

I made it a routine to visit the wildflower garden every few days until they disappeared. They seemed to accept my feelings and swayed in the spring breeze as if welcoming me.

Today is June 20, when my dear friends Sylvie.D and Dmitry Krasiuk unveil their new project.

On June 9, Russian forces accidentally or intentionally destroyed the Kakhovka Dam in the Russian-controlled area of the Herzon Oblast in southern Ukraine, devastating the settlements in the lower reaches. Nature has been destroyed, depriving the Ukrainian people of their right to life.
Ukraine is a beautiful, vast country of farmlands and forests. But next year, the spring ephemerals will not awaken from the earth in the flooded areas.

Ten to fifteen years after the end of the war in Ukraine, after the Ukrainian people who lost their homes and lands return to this land, she will finally come back to life and bless the Ukrainian people.

I believe that God will honor the courage of the Ukrainian people and will not abandon them.

Glory be to Ukraine!
