Female Mallards Raising Children
In June, mallards raise their children at a pond in Midorigaoka Park, Obihiro City, Hokkaido, Japan. There is a deep forest around the pond, and the natural enemies of ducks such as crows and foxes inhabit it. Therefore, the mother of the duckling was desperate to protect the duckling, sometimes stretching her neck and watching over her surroundings.
